Spoiler Alert--We're in!

While it wasn't a shocker, it sure was a relief to hear that we had been formally accepted into the pool of waiting families. The adoption agency can now begin passing out our profile book! (By "now" I mean as soon as my $6,000 check clears.)

Now, I am busy compiling photos for our spot on the website (I'll let everyone know as soon as we're posted!). We need photos of us, the three of us as well as Micah and me alone. (Yes, it's supposed to be "me", not "I". I get so tired of people confusing that. Take out the other person. If "I" doesn't work without the other person, than it should be "me!" But, I digress. Which is a completely overused phrase that I did not want to use, but whatever. Bode. I like that word and it's vastly underused. Thus, I'm ending my rant with "bode.")

If you haven't heard how our fundraising efforts have gone, here's the update. Obviously, we still have more money to raise. Now that the home study is complete, we can begin applying for grants and low-no interest loans. But, here's my question: what types of fundraising ideas do you have? I've done the Mary Kay thing--not so successful; Silent Auction was a bust; Yard Sale was great, but that's no longer an option; T-shirt drive was pretty good--Virtual Cupcakes did the best--should I stick with that?
